We needed some builders, so we rang Sean and Pete
We said give us a quote to make our house “neat”
They came round to see us and talk through our idea
What we were asking them to do they wanted to be clear
A few days later they brought round their quote
It was all typed out- not on the back of a note
We decided to give them the job if they could start soon
They said “that’s not a problem, our schedule has room”
They turned up when we’d planned and started to dig
Round the back we soon had a hole (it seemed pretty big)
In went the foundations and then they fixed the drain
The only time they stopped was hen we had heavy rain
It didn’t seem long before they started building the “shell”
Within a few weeks the upstairs and roof were on as well
They brought in an electrician, a plasterer and a plumber
And we all knew they’d be finished before the start of the summer
Just as we had asked them to, they extended our home
And made it much bigger, gave us more space to roam
With no hidden charges or piles of mess left to clear
For the price they had quoted- and it wasn’t too dear
While they were working they were friendly and polite
They checked each stage with us, to make sure it was right
They kept us informed as to what they were going to do
Even brought their own coffee and tea bags too!
So if you need some good builders who’ll do the job well
We’d recommend you take the time to give them a bell
They worked really hard and they did our job right
We don’t dream of cowboys when we’re asleep at night!
